It is also known as that shit your parents didn't let you listen to when you where younger. However Hip Hop is now no longer populated by smooth lyrics and metaphors, instead now it is populated by.... wait for it.....BULLSHIT. Most people sit and bitch about people like Soulja Boy, Jeezy and 50 Cent even thought their 99.9 percent of the problem the real issue isn't them. Its the other .1 percent that spreads everywhere else that is the real cause of all the problems.

While their are people like Soulja Boy Tell'em that are in fact a virus to hip-hop the people who rap yet sit back and say hip hop is dead are the real fucking problem. If you think hip hop is dead don't sit back saying hip hop is dead repeatedly expecting it to come back to life no fucking do something about it. If their was ever a time to do so now is that time the game isn't just changing its dying and being reborn, nothing is the same.

Music follows patterns at first it was how good a song could you make then it moved on to how good of a live TV performance could you do then it moved on to how good of a music video could you create. Now with the onslaught of the Digital Age in full force and record sales down the music video is a dying beast with only a few years of life left in it. Face it this is true the majority of the channels that where created around the music video such as MTV, Vh1, and BET don't even show videos anymore. MTV canceled TRL which was the longest running music show in the channels history. Then last November BET canceled Rap City the show that was the soul and voice of hip hop for 21 years. The only real avenues for vids on TV are The Deal, 106 & Park, and late nights on Vh1 and MTV.

Now everything has come full circle, no longer are the flashing lights and glitz ruling the world of the emcee now its back to the music. Most people haven't realized this still blind to what his happening in front of them unaware that the thug is no longer the Boss that he once was. Now people its the geeks the losers the freaks and the nerds that are stepping up saying look nigga I'm tired of this shit and showing what they got. They don't have the thuged out look the guns the drugs the bitches or the hoes no they got the backpacks the witty lyrics and fresh polysyllabic wordplay. The ones that go from rapping about the streets to the freshness of the NES they are bringing back Hip-Hop it maybe in a different era with a different style to it but the real faces of hip hop are starting to make themselves known. Their not sitting back saying oh boo hoo hip hop is dead my passion is dead no their saying fuck this shit it maybe dying but its not out theirs still a heart beat so lets defibrillate this shit and keep it movin.

Below is who I believe to be the up and coming leaders of the new school.

Kid Cudi: You all know who this is Kid Cudi the man on the moon himself. A emcee from a different planet somewhere where none in hip hop have ventured before Cleveland Ohio. The Kid's two mixtapes "A Kid Named Cudi" and "Dat Kid from Cleveland" have both recently made major strides with in the hip hop community "A Kid Named Cudi" even featured what is a severe rarity within hip hop the track "Day N Night" from said mixtape went as far as to become a mainstream success and a bona fide soon to be stoner classic even getting its own video played on the major channels when they do show videos. With his upcoming debut album "Man on the Moon: The Guardians" on track for a late summer 09 release date expect the kid to make major strides with his mellow flow. This is the "Day and Night Crookers Remix" offical vid.

Verbal: This is a new one to most Verbal is however already a bonafide hip hop legend, and is one of if not the premiere rapper in Japan. He is one of the founders of the hip hop group M-flo along with his producer "Taku" Takahashi. Verbal is also a member of the Nigo founded Bape based group the Teriyaki Boyz. Verbal is a major player in the Asian hip hop world having worked with many artist in the US such as Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Chris Brown, and Busta Rhymes. He is known as Tokyo's Diddy and unlike Diddy he can rap in multiple languages. I say be on the look out for him to show up on a shore near you sometime soon because I'm sure some of his recent collaborations will gather him some attention. I predict he will invade America soon but for now I'll let you hear a lil of what you can come to expect from him with a track he did with Lupe and Sarah Green.

Charles Hamilton: Super Sonic himself or should I say Shadow I'm not really sure about that I just know one thing, he is a lyrical force to be reckoned with and not underestimated. He is also from another planet known as Cleveland, Ohio (do i see a new rap scene showing up) but raised in New York. His mixtape "The Death of a Mixtape Rapper" gathered big responses with his track "Brooklyn Girls" which is by far in my opinion one of the weakest tracks on the album. Hamiltion is blessed with a gift to be able to rap to any beat even going as far for one of his songs "Windows Media Player" to turn the basic windows XP start up sound into a beat. He has an impressive flow capable of going from serious to humorous to geeky all in one track. At the young age of 21 Hamilton is already making a name for himself and with the ability to not only rap but produce and sing also I see the next Mr. West in the making.
Here is his track "Windows Media Player"

Danny! Last but not least I'd like to introduce you to Danny! also known by Danny Swain someone I'm sure very few have heard of but hes been around for good few years on the underground scene. Danny! yes the ! has to be in their is a hip hop artist from Columbia South Carolina a place that is a breeding ground for talent that then says they're from somewhere else. He Is like a strange mix of Lupe, Kid Cudi and Kanye West his first album was even titled "The College Kicked-Out" referring to the grade scandal that got him kicked out of school. He differs from the other artist on this list because of the fact that he is the only one thus far aside from Verbal who doesn't really count on this one but Danny! is the only one to almost be nominated for a Grammy with his 06 album "Charmed" which had major critical acclaim but was ignored by the masses. Danny! can switch his style up from a backpack kid to some polysyllabic Eminem style shit seriously nerdcore. I don't know if he'll ever get up but if he does i see him coming up big time i mean what other underground artist was nearly nominated for rap album of the year despite being unheard of and having virtually no album sales. Danny! is so slept on that i am gonna do something that wont be done here often and show you two tracks. The first is from his Grammy nominated album "Charm" entitled "Fly" and the second one is from his latest release "And I Love H.E.R.:Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" entitled "The Groove".

These are the faces of the rebirth, hip hop isn't dead it just slept its waking up now and its hella pissed.
